Online Training

The team at Body-Improvements has been helping people reach their health, physique, and fitness goals for years via the Internet.  As the versatility of the Internet increases, creating and delivering customized exercise and nutrition programs to our client’s email has become an extremely effective solution.

There are numerous trainers offering online consultative services out there.  We feel our platform is unique, however.

For starters, we’re inclined to work with people on a one-time basis.  We feel we’re able to convey enough guidance, education and direction in a thorough program that in many cases there’s no point to charge an ongoing, monthly fee.

Secondly, there are instances where ongoing consultative services are warranted.  In these cases, we’re not interested in giving you a new program each and every month simply to justify our monthly fee.  If it were busy work we were interested in, we’d be working with scores of people on a monthly basis.  Rather, we’re typically working with less than a dozen. In this wrapper we work closely with you via email, chat, and telephone if needed in order to assure compliance, commitment, and progress.

Third, we acknowledge that this medium of training isn’t conducive for everyone.  There will be many folks who we turn away.  We’ll always do our best to fit you with another one of our services or refer you to a trainer in your area who we recommend, assuming we’re aware of one.

Fourth, we don’t promote these services as if they were wrapped with magical powers.  Online training, no matter how you package it or what you call it, is not the greatest thing since sliced bread.  Yes, there are many trainers marketing it as such, but it’s simply false.  We readily admit that we can do more for someone within the walls of one of our facilities than we can working with them over the web.  When  you remove the face-to-face interaction, you also remove a large part of the “feel” a quality trainer brings to the table that let’s him know when it’s time to push a client, back off, give verbal cues, etc.

So why do we offer this avenue?

The driving factor behind this service is the fact that the personal training industry is in a sad state of affairs.  There are literally zero barriers to entry and anyone interested in wearing sweatpants to work can get hired as a trainer.  Given this fact, the quality of professionals out there is terribly watered down.  Worthy trainers certainly exist, but the chances of one of them being within driving distance to you are slim.  We’re passionate about providing evidence-based solutions to a variety of people and though online consultations may take a backseat when compared to working with us in person, we still feel we bring enough to the table to justify its existence.

It also tends to be a more affordable path when compared to in-person training.  In many areas, in-person training can range from $50 – $100+ dollars per session… each session being approximately 60 minutes.

Here are the solutions we offer:

Please contact us for more information on any of these services. The primary goal, regardless of what track you choose, is to help you reach a level of understanding, knowledge and confidence where you don’t need us anymore.  This is another way we differ from other online trainers.  They use the “keep you coming back for more” model and ours is exactly opposite.

Haha, well thanks. In the meantime, don’t hesitate asking questions on the Questions page.
